Food safety guidelines

For cutting and food preparation we recommend using the wooden side of the board, while the resin side is mainly intended for serving and presentation. Do not expose the resin to prolonged contact with fatty or moist foods – it is ideal for dry foods such as nuts or cookies. Avoid cutting on the resin side of the board, as it mainly serves as a decorative element.

The resin we use is non-toxic and complies with safety standards according to regulation 1935/2004 EC. However, since it is a chemical material, we recommend following the instructions for proper use. More information can be found in the food safety guide.

Care instructions

Keep your board in excellent condition with simple hand washing. Avoid the dishwasher, which could damage both the wood and the resin.

The board is made from camphor wood, which has natural antibacterial properties.

If the wood begins to lose its shine, restore its appearance and durability by treating it with food-safe oil, for example olive oil. To keep the board looking its best, always cut on the wooden side.
