Food safety guidelines

For cutting and food preparation we recommend using the wooden side of the board, while the resin side is primarily intended for serving and presentation. Avoid prolonged contact of the resin with oily or wet foods – it is best suited for dry foods such as nuts or cookies.

The resin we use is non-toxic and complies with safety standards according to regulation 1935/2004 EC. Since it is a chemical material, we recommend following the guidelines for proper use. More information can be found in the food safety guide.

Care instructions

Keep your board in excellent condition by simply washing it by hand. Avoid using a dishwasher, as it may damage both the wood and the resin.

The board is made from camphor wood, which naturally has antibacterial properties.

If the wood starts to lose its shine, restore its appearance and durability by treating it with food-safe oil, such as olive oil.
